What To Expect From Our Hypnotherapy Training With IHT!
I’m always getting asked what to expect from our Hypnotherapy course. So, the first day is the introduction day, and the first day is open not only to people who have applied for the full course but also to people who are interested in the course or interested in knowing more about hypnotherapy.
And even from that first day, you’re learning about Hypnosis, its history, and how to use it. So you actually use Hypnosis with your peers on the very first day because learning Hypnosis or how to enable people to enter that state is the easy part of the learning.
It is really, really simple. For the rest of the training, you are learning not only how to do that in different ways but also what to do when people are there and what to do when people come in the room, how to talk to people, how to ask the right questions to elicit the information that you need for the Hypnotherapy part.
We want you to feel confident in talking to people, knowing what questions to ask, and knowing how to really listen to your client in order to get all the information you need to make the hypnotherapy part simple.
And also, when you’ve got somebody in that state of mind, what to say, how to say it, and what type of language to use to enable them to make the changes. So that’s actually more tricky. So even on the first day, like I said, you’re learning how to hypnotise your peers.
And obviously, that continues. So throughout our training, you are working in your group. Most people are there after that first day for the full diploma. We have some people who just do the foundations.
They stop after the first three weekends, but the majority of your group is with you till the end. So, you develop really great friendships and supportive groups in order to help you get through the course as well.
So, after your first full weekend, I’m talking about how you do get questions to answer after the introduction course. So some are short questions, some are long questions, and that happens after weekends one, two and three.
And all the questions relate to what you’ve learned that weekend. So we really recommend that you do that as soon as you can, where everything’s fresh on your mind. And each of the questions relates to the learning outcomes that we need to show the NCFE and NBH that you understand what you’ve learned.
So, after those first five weekends, the foundation part of the course was completed. So, you need to have completed your coursework and three case studies as well.
And you can have a good foundation in hypnotherapy. After that weekend, we move on to the diploma part of the course. So you don’t have any questions and answers after that stage.
We’re looking for case studies. So you have three case studies to do: a short, a medium and a long case study. Towards the end, you have an essay to write, which is really about your journey as a hypnotherapist.
So, the course is not academic. It is very experiential, and you do lots of practice in the course. So, within the coursework, we’re looking for you to talk about what your experience has been. So when we’re talking about that essay at the end, for example, it’s your journey.
There’d be some of the things that we’ve taught you that have really resonated with you. You’ve got really excited about it. You’ve gone out and read books and watched videos on YouTube. And there’d be some that just didn’t really fit with you.
And that’s okay because it’s about you becoming the hypnotherapist in your own right. So you bring in, as part of the training, that real human essence of you. So, not everybody is the same hypnotherapist at the end.
So you can get up to that 450 hours by the end of the training. You’re also able to count the practice that you do during the training weekends. If you need extra time, you can have that after the training.
But it’s good if you can kind of make connections with your peers so you can practice between monthly meetings online because it’s good to have that. You do have that experience, and friends and family are usually lining up to get your help, too and once you get on to the diploma part of the course, you could be looking for people you don’t know who want to work through certain issues because we cover different issues once we move into the diploma part so you get some real insight on how to work with different issues as well.
So, if you have any other questions, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to arrange a chat, or you can just email your questions. I look forward to hearing from you, and I will get back to you.
